3-4th February 2026: Multi-day Ski Touring Introduction Course –

Register for our 2 day ski touring introductory course (that will be conducted in English)! You will learn the basics of the sport and the mountain under the instruction of a professional mountain guide. The course will take place on February 3-4 in Cabane Barraud, we are looking forward to seeing you there!.

Important information:

  • Price: 215.- for Agepoly member; 240.- for non-Agepoly member
    (You have to be a member of Club Montagne). The course is limited to 6 participants to keep low participant-guide ratio. In case of high demand, we might hire a second professional guide and increase the limit to 12 participants.

  • The payment includes the professional mountain guide and an accommodation in an unguarded hut (Cabane Barraud). Your participation is confirmed only after a payment and it is non-refundable, but in case you can’t participate, you can find someone else to take your place.

  • Transport: Transport to the location will not be organised by Club Montagne, but we will create a WhatsApp group to facilitate planning. In case of low snow coverage you might need to pay for a lift ticket.

  • Food: The food is not included in the price and is not provided by the course organizer. As we are accommodated in a non-guarded hut, we need to bring our food ourselves. A kitchen is in the hut that is at our disposal. We might also plan cooking dinner/breakfast together.

  • Equipment: If you have your own equipment we would like you to bring it. Club Montagne provides the DVA (avalanche security) kits for free for this course. As regards the skis etc. you will have to count for a maximum of 100 Chf in addition to the course fees. We will discuss the renting later in the WhatsApp group together.

  • Prerequisities: We require you to have a certain level of skiing, feel comfortable on different slopes and maybe already have done some off-piste. If you did ski touring for 0 to 5 times, this course is for you and you will spend a nice day.
